The style of the traditional hip & gable roof with a twist, with the hip roof facing south and the gables facing north, culminating in a traditional but modern form with simple and constructible shapes, creating a fairly unique design outcome.

Large North facing windows bring in the winter sun and orient the living area towards the owner’s private open space whilst taking advantage of the passive heating potential, with large overhangs and timber verandahs providing summer cooling.

Large North facing double glazed windows (with sliding door to terrace) bring in the winter sun (as indicated by the long winter shadows) and take advantage of the passive heating.

3m high ceilings also feature throughout the open plan area to create a more spacious and light filled volume.
