Modern Strawbale Home, Kyneton VIC

Project Info
Built during 2010 over a period of about 10 months during a year of drought breaking rain, this home serves to provide strong evidence of the strength and durability of timber framed, strawbale construction.
The home was the result of simplifying a series of varying schematic design ideas, but all way with a way of allowing it to be extended without modification to the existing structure (with options for extension being practically x3 - that is, to the west through either western window, growing into the paddock or east as an access door, or even west and upwards.
